It has been waaaay too long since I’ve shared a headshot session on the blog.  As wedding season begins its wind down I’m happy to share the first of many (many many) from the past few month’s shoots!

This beauty happens to be one of my favorite people in the world.  Ana is not only an accomplished mezzo soprano, but also a brilliant professor of Music History (srsly, people, she knows her stuff,) and a stunning actress!

And, if I have any say in the matter (which I don’t really…  but let’s just put it out there…) the next face of Neutrogena or some other beauty campaign.  Because she has one of the most perfect faces I’ve ever seen.  Ever.

Ana and I met while singing opera in a tiny town in Italy many years ago.  I was so intimidated by her at first (she is just as gorgeous, tall, and brilliant in person…it can be, well, a lot.  In really impressive way!) but we bonded over our mutual love of Mahler and I realized that beneath the overwhelming physical beauty is a sensitive soul who has, over the last few years, become one of my favorite ladies in the world   Ana is the 2nd person I ever shot.  I’m happy to say we’ve both come a loooong way since that first session!

Here are a few favorites (from like 200 favorites!) from our recent studio session in NY:
