Planning your wedding is so exciting for both the groom and bride. So many options. What color scheme? What theme do you want? What venue? What kind of flowers? All of these questions have answers that make up the details that go into your wedding. With all of these little aspects, you can easily feel as though you've lost your sense of self in a couple. You want more than anything for your day to be special but for it also to reflect you and your significant other as much as possible. You want your guests to feel your presence throughout the wedding even if you're not in the room at the time. Below we've listed some great ways you can reflect both the bride in groom into the wedding.

Guest Book

Guest books are something that has become a tradition for years. Originally they were required. In case someone needed to prove that they were there to testify that the wedding ceremony took place. Now that isn't necessary. Now they are used more so to just remember who was there with you on your special day. Recently guest books have become more unique. People have come up with some creative things for people to sign. They are then commonly used as home decor in the bride and groom's new home. You can find a great idea for a guest book idea at https://whiskeymade.com/.

Personalized Gifts

The best way to show your appreciation is through giving gifts. Getting gifts for your bridal party is a common tradition. Both the groom and bride get gifts for their bridal party. This is a great way to really tune in to you and your other personal characteristics through your gifts. You can easily give a gift that resembles your relationship with that person. Taking the time to plan and choose a gift for your bridal party is so important. Showing those who stand beside you on your big day just how much they mean to you is essential. They've been there to support you and you need to show them how much they're appreciated. This makes for a great way to reflect both of your personalities at your wedding.

Color Scheme

One of the many questions when planning your wedding is what color scheme will you choose? Some people already know. They've had this day planned for years and know exactly what theme/ color scheme they want. That's great! And most likely those colors represent that couple perfectly. Colors play a huge role in everyday life and many people don't even realize it. Colors can influence one's mood fairly easily. This is why choosing your color scheme can help to reflect you and your significant other's personality. Some people relate certain colors to certain people. Maybe ask a couple of friends and family members what colors you remind them of. Take these into consideration when choosing your color scheme. Others will feel it too even if they don't realize it, don't worry.

Fun Accessories

A great way to express yourself, generally speaking, is through your attire. The clothes you choose to buy and then wear are how you wish to express yourself. What makes your wedding day any different? A simple (and fun) way to reflect your personalities if by adding accessories that help express yourselves. The groom can wear fun socks, a patterned tie or bow tie, or even a pocket square. Some people are terrified of patterned suits however they add just a small amount of detail that can make the world of difference. Fun socks also call for hilarious photo ops. Clearly, you want the colors and patterns to be similar or to match nicely however there's still room to allow yourself to have some fun and make your outfit your own.

The same thing can also apply to the bride. There are things that are common or traditional for the bride, however, you can always put your own twist on things. Not every bride where's a white dress. Even if you don't want to make that drastic of a difference from tradition there are other things you can add to make it your own. A special headband, your favorite necklace, whatever it might be. Take advantage of the use of your accessories and make your look your own regardless of tradition.

Themed Wedding

Themed weddings are definitely not for everyone. However, they are the easiest way to make your wedding reflect you both. Halloween, Disney, etc. are common themes for couples to choose to do for their wedding. If you're the couple that's typically obsessed with Halloween then it would be weird for your wedding to not be Halloween themed. Sometimes family members or even friends can pressure someone into doing the traditionalist things when it comes to something as important as your wedding day. If these traditions hold an important meaning to you then that's understandable. However, if you're planning your wedding and hating it then maybe take a step back and see where you can see your and your significant other within your wedding. Tradition weddings are nice, but the ones where your guests say "this is them," those are even better.

Venue

This probably seems like a fairly common-sense idea however some don't connect the two. Your venue is the base of your wedding. It's the foundation for everything else. You can add decor, tables, chairs, clothes, however, at the end of the day, the venue is the main point. This space needs to be exactly as you and your partner want. This is the easiest way to reflect yourselves into your wedding. Picking a venue based on price and location are extremely important aspects of choosing a venue. However, try not to allow that to completely rule over your selection. Leave room for your real wants and desires in a venue to shine through. That way your guests can sense both of you through your venue.

Favors

What's a better way to send your friends and family home than with a memorable gift from the bride and groom? You can be super creative with your favors that you give to those that attended your wedding. These aren't something that you necessarily need, however they are common and gaining more so. If it's not in your budget no worries. There's a range of different things you can give as favors. Use these as a way to really show your personalities separately or even as a couple. Your guests can take them home with them and remember your wedding for years to come. The weddings where you can truly feel the bride and groom throughout the wedding and throughout different aspects of it are the ones that are remembered by the guests the most.

Wedding planning is stressful. There are lots of details that you don't want to forget about. These come together to make a beautiful wedding that your family will never forget. Don't forget to focus on what's important to you and your significant other. That is what will make your wedding day the most memorable for your guests and the best day of your lives.
